About

I’m Remco-Jan Klein Overmeen, founder of True Property Mallorca, a real estate consultancy based in Mallorca providing professional guidance for the purchase, sale and rental of residential property.

Before relocating to Spain, I spent many years in senior management roles within the Dutch National Police, where integrity, responsibility and clear decision-making were essential. That background continues to shape how I work today: structured, transparent and dependable — particularly when clients are making important real estate decisions.

​

I am a certified real estate professional, having completed the Real Estate Agent programme at FEI Business School, and I am officially registered in the Official Registry of Real Estate Agents of the Balearic Islands (ROAIIB), holding registration number GOIBE72123/2026.

​

I am also an active member of API (Agente de la Propiedad Inmobiliaria), one of Spain’s recognised professional associations for real estate agents, and through API I am affiliated with ANAI (Asociación Nacional de Agentes Inmobiliarios). These memberships reflect a commitment to professional standards, ethical conduct and continuous professional development within the Spanish real estate sector.

My professional activity is fully covered by professional civil liability and surety insurance, providing additional security and peace of mind for clients.

In 2021, I also founded House Services Mallorca, a property management company supporting homeowners across the island. This hands-on experience provides valuable insight into property ownership, rentals, maintenance and long-term value — well beyond the transaction itself.

 

At True Property Mallorca, I support clients throughout the entire real estate process. Whether assisting buyers in finding the right property, guiding sellers through a structured and transparent sales process, or advising owners on residential rentals, my role is to provide clear information, realistic advice and professional coordination from start to finish.

Where specialist expertise is required, I work with trusted and independent local lawyers, notaries, architects and technical professionals. Each professional operates independently within their own discipline, ensuring that every transaction is handled correctly, legally and transparently. I communicate in plain language, allowing clients to move forward with confidence and clarity.
